If you see warning signs of a break up you need to act quickly to avoid splitting up. It is a lot easier to prevent a split then to try to reconcile after the event.
So what should you be looking out for? The obvious one is if you are both always arguing. I believe it is healthy for couples to argue occasionally as making up is fun! But when you just fight and don’t make friends, you are on dangerous ground.
Perhaps worse is when you have gone past the stage of fighting and now just ignore one another. There is nothing lonelier than sharing a double bed with someone and having enough room to drive a huge bus between you. Some of the loneliest people are those that are in a broken relationship.
Another sign you could look for is whether your partner prefers to spend time with other people. Now don’t get paranoid on me. No matter how much they love you, we all need some time out with our own friends. It is when your partner is spending more time with the other people, than with you and your family, that you need to worry.
If you see any signs of trouble, you cannot ignore them, but you need to deal with it now. Before you tackle your partner, you need to first decide what you want. Do you see a future with this person? If you do then you need to fight for your happiness; but in a very nice way. Shouting matches or physical violence are not the way forward.
If you have children arrange for a friend to mind them. Ask your other half out for the evening. If you go to a public place like a restaurant, the conversation is less likely to descend into an argument.
Don’t jump into the chat by flinging accusations or telling your spouse how let down/ignored/unhappy you feel. You will only put them on the defensive and that will lead to an argument. Instead, ask them how they are feeling. Are they happy with the current situation? Is there anything they feel could be improved?
Listen to what they say and try to stay calm and non judgemental. It is not going to be easy and you may have to listen to some uncomfortable stuff. But you want your relationship to work out don’t you.
You may not be able to resolve your issues in one evening, however, it could be all it takes to start the process of getting your relationship back on track. There is a solution for every problem and you just need time to find yours. In the meantime, you need to reassure each other that you share a mutual bond of love and respect and that is worth fighting for.
Acknowledging the warning signs of a break up and taking action is the first step on the road to recovery. If you both want it, you can save your relationship and live happily ever after.

Getting Over Someone You Love-How to Go About It
Getting over someone you love might not be an easy thing to do. You must also realize that none of the answers are easy ones. You might think you are over someone and after sometime, maybe a year or two later be reminded of that person and you feel all the pain and sadness again. That does not mean you are not over the person, though. Sometimes getting over someone you love takes a slow process.
When you have a lot invested in a relationship, especially when it is an emotional one, and the relationship ends, it can make you feel sad for years. You don’t have to allow the sadness throw you into a state of depression. By getting over the person, you can realize that losing them made you sad, and look back on it as you would any sad loss. The period of time immediately after the loss is always the hardest, and that’s what makes you ask how to get over someone you love.
The only way to deal with a break up that is new is to face the pain that comes from the breakup and ride it out. It is not going to be easy initially; it’s going to hurt, no matter what you do. But there are some things you can do to lessen the pain. One of those things you can do is to remove any visual reminders of the person. Remove displayed photographs of the person anywhere in your room; gifts they gave you can be stored instead of displayed. Avoid the places you used to go together for a while. The restaurant and every place that reminds you of the person, avoid them. This can be found in every list that explains how to get over someone you love, so it is a popular tip that you should try.
Seeking counsel is another important way of getting over someone you love. This is actually necessary if you are having trouble living your life after the break up. The counselor knows the pain that one experiences when there is a break up in a relationship. They can be more specific than generic lists about how to get over someone you love. They also probably offer better advice than friends or family.
With a counselor, you can safely tell those things about the relationship you probably do not want friends or family to know. Friends or family might not have liked that you were in the relationship and may have motives in wanting to help you get over the person.
Be ready to go to counseling for as long as you need to until the counselor feels you have spent enough time to get over someone you love.

Save Your Relationship Using These 7 Steps
You work long hours a day, probably gets home tired most of the time and your wife feels you are not there for her anymore. Your wife spends most of the time meeting the kid's needs and you feel she is not there for you anymore. Can this relationship be saved and how can you save this relationship. Here's how to save a relationship.
Both parties must decide they want to make the relationship work in the first place. If a partner has opted out and does not want to opt back in, there's little that can be done in that case. The relationship has to be worth saving. Almost every relationship can be saved with hard work and commitment to do so from both parties.
Staying in a relationship or marriage because of convenience or because of the children is not enough to save a relationship. Commitment from both parties is absolutely necessary if the relationship is worth saving.
What is the problem or problems in a relationship? You have to identify what the cause of the problem is and not the symptoms of the problem itself. It's easier to save when the cause can be identified.
If there is no intimacy in a relationship, it can lead to one of the partners being involved in an affair outside the marriage or relationship. The symptom in this case is not the affair, but the lack of true intimacy that led to one of the partner having an affair. If you do not deal with the lack of intimacy, you may not be able to deal with what will result from it, which is an affair. True intimacy might just be the solution to that affair your partner is engaged in.
When you start to deal with core issues rather than symptoms, you can save the relationship.
Now that you have identified what the problem is and not just the symptoms, it is time to start putting your thoughts into action by sharing with your partner the how to solve the problem. You have to be sensitive to your partners concerns. When you discuss the problems with your partner, hold your partners hand as a signal that you want to reconnect even when your emotions are swirling. Don't be hurt when your partner says things that normally would have hurt you, remember, he or she does not want to hurt you; rather it is because they want to improve the relationship.
It's time to create an action plan to solve the problems you have now identified. Take concrete steps on your action plan. If the problem has been that you don't have enough time for each other, it is time to make out a day once every week to spend together. Take turns to come up with creative ways to spend your evening together once a week. Make out time just talking to one another if the problem was lack of communication, maybe 20minutes before going to bed.
Realize that saving a relationship is an ongoing process; there will always be times of laughter and tears as you attempt to save your relationship. But you have to make a commitment to continue to bring out the best in your relationship. Be quick to apologize and slow to blame.
Do you think your relationship is worth saving? If so, I have described in this article how to save a relationship and you can read more about it when you

Relationship Quotes for Your Enjoyment
Sometimes the best way to say something is the way someone more literary than you has said it. In that vein, here are some relationship quotes of note:
"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down."
-Oprah Winfrey
"Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: they're trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take." -Anthony Robbins
"Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same." -Flavia Weedn
"The act of forgiveness is the act of returning to present time. And that's why when one has become a forgiving person, and has managed to let go of the past, what they've really done is they've shifted their relationship with time." – Caroline Myss
"Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired." – Mark Twain
"Well, it seems to me that the best relationships - the ones that last - are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with" ~ Gillian Anderson
"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." – Aristotle
"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart." – Helen Keller
"Where does the family start? It starts with a young man falling in love with a girl - no superior alternative has yet been found." – Winston Churchill
"It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations." – Kahlin Gibran
"To love means to commit oneself without guarantee, to give oneself completely in the hope that our love will produce love in the loved person." – Eric Fromm
"Man is a knot into which relationships are tied." ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
"You can't stop loving or wanting to love because when its right, it's the best thing in the world. When you're in a relationship and it's good, even if nothing else in your life is right, you feel like your whole world is complete." ~ Keith Sweat
"Our greatest joy-and our greatest pain comes in our relationships with others." ~ Stephen R. Covey
"Love doesn't just sit there like a stone; it has to be made - like bread, remade all the time, made new." – Ursula LeGuin

Don't be Fooled by Bestseller Books on Relationships
If your ex has just broken up with you, you may be in the marketplace for books on relationships. But how do you choose the best books on relationships among the many offerings out there?
In this article, I will show you how to choose the best books on relationships. And the answer will surprise you. Read on…
First, don’t be fooled by fancy letters after a author’s name. There are many people who find school to be a convenient escape from real life. Instead of engaging with people, they spend their time in the classroom and library. As a result, they end up with a lot of letters after their names when they hit age 35. They use their degrees to indicate that they have “expert knowledge” of a situation. But does their expertise work in the real world?
Instead, you should look for books on relationships by authors who have been in the trenches. They’ve either put a bad relationship back together themselves or they have helped countless buddies do the same. These aren’t therapy patients that come in for the “fifty minute hour” either. These relationships are those of people the author cares deeply about.
